ABOUT US
Everglades Technologies is a mid-size company specializing in technology solutions including high-end customized networks for small-to medium-sized businesses. Located in Union Square the company has provided office network solutions since 2000. As a "one-stop shop" for clients, Everglades Technologies is known for the high-level quality of IT service rendered and an intense dedication and commitment to customer satisfaction.
THE POSITION
The FULL-TIME NETWORK ENGINEER – PROJECTS/ACCOUNTS is in-house and on-site position depending on the task at hand. This role is also responsible for two key areas of our business.
The first is representing our company as a polished technical and customer-centric resource, providing high-level customer service and troubleshooting to our diverse pool of over 500 clients in the metropolitan area.
The second is working closely with the IT department head to mange specific accounts and projects. Projects range from a firewall and switch configuration up to a complete LAN build-out with several servers and dozens of workstations. Entering issues and following-up with clients in our ticketing system is an expectation of both areas for complete issue/project ownership, tracking, and resolution.
THE CANDIDATE
A self-motivated individual, with excellent oral and written communication skills to provide outstanding initial troubleshooting and support to our clients, with an ability to skillfully communicate technical information to non-technical audiences which can include upper-level management, business executives or business owners.
Candidates are proactive in inter-communication skills and self-initiators experienced and skillful at assessment, construction, and the problem solving of IT issues for assigned accounts.
Successful candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree and 3 to 5 years experience with supporting and troubleshooting Windows-based workstations and servers (Mac experience is a plus), along with experience in the industry standard Microsoft Office suite. Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, and ITIL certification is highly desirable, though equivalent experience will be equally considered.
Candidates should have a flexible schedule - Our standard office hours are 8:30am to 5pm and a rotating on-call support schedule is also involved.
